Feed the Hungry
Please help feed the hungry by contributing to the local food shelf housed at our sister congregation, Trinity Lutheran. There is a collection grocery cart in the lobby of the sanctuary, or feel free to drop of food in the office during the week.
In addition, ready to eat food is distributed to people experiencing homeless who come to our church.

Saturday, January 12
8:30 am- 11:30 am
What a beautiful sanctuary and hall OSLC had for Christmas! Now it is time to clean it all up and store until next year. Join us for the Undecorate Work Day on Saturday, January 12. We will begin at 8:30 am, stay as long as you are able. Not only is help needed with the swags, wreaths, and trees, but we will also be taking care of other property maintenance, landscaping, and cleaning for the quarter. Treats will be served to thank everyone for their time and energy.
Serve Pancakes on Jan 20
OSLC regularly helps to prepare and serve a pancake breakfast at Grace Lutheran in downtown Phoenix, one of our sister congregations. If you would like to help, please sign up with the church office then be at Grace at 6:30 am to begin cooking.
Grace is now officially certified by Maricopa County to serve food to the public! This means they are wanting as many helpers as possible to get a Food Employee Certificate (formerly a Food Handlers Card). The card can be obtained for only $8.00 and it is good for 3 years (for an extra $2.00 you can choose an option to be able to print out your card anytime during the 3 year period.) To take a simple test and receive your Food Employee Certificate go to http://www.azfoodhandlers.com/Register3.aspx.
2019 dates are Jan 20, March 17, May 19, July 21, Sept 15, and Nov 17.
