Serve Pancakes at Grace Sept 16
Every Sunday morning, Grace Lutheran Church in downtown Phoenix serves breakfast to more than 200 people living on the streets. Several times a year, Our Saviour's sends a group of people to help cook and serve the pancakes and sausages. The next opportunity to serve in this capacity will be on Sunday, Sept 16. The Our Saviour's crew needs to arrive by 6:30 am at Grace wearing closed-toed shoes and a hat. If you would like to be part of this important ministry, please sign up in the Peterson Fellowship Hall. If transportation is an issue or if you have more questions, please contact the church office or Ross Orr.
Good news, Grace is now officially certified by Maricopa County to serve food to the public! This means they are wanting as many helpers as possible to get a Food Employee Certificate (formerly a Food Handlers Card). The card can be obtained for only $8.00 and it is good for 3 years (for an extra $2.00 you can choose an option to be able to print out your card anytime during the 3 year period.) To take a simple test and receive your Food Employee Certificate go to http://www.azfoodhandlers.com/Register3.aspx.
Our remaining 2018 date is November 1.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Do you knit or crochet? Then come to an informational meeting about the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Prayer shawls to be given to people who need to feel wrapped up in the love of Christ and find out how you can help. Want to know more? Speak with Lennie Andrews or contact the church office.
Feed the Hungry
Please help feed the hungry by contributing to the local food shelf housed at our sister congregation, Trinity Lutheran. There is a collection grocery cart in the lobby of the sanctuary, or feel free to drop of food in the office during the week.
In addition, ready to eat food is distributed to people experiencing homeless who come to our church.
